AUTHENTIC! OFFICIALLY SIGNED! ROY JONES JR. AUTOGRAPHED BOXING GLOVE! In 1995, when employed as the advertising director of the Pensacola News Journal in Pensacola, Florida, I attended a private black-tie party to celebrate Muhammad Ali at the mansion of famed attorney Fred Levin--then the manager of future Hall-of-Famer Roy Jones Jr.'s boxing career. The Pensacola News Journal promoted the event, which was followed the next day with a squared-ring public appearance to a standing-room-only Pensacola Civic Center. Yours truly (me!) had his own Andy Warhol-proclaimed 15 minutes of fame as a VIP guest to Muhammad Ali and Roy Jones Jr. I sat right across from Ali in the squared-off simulated ring and was introduced along with a handful of others to the audience. Memories... During the private party the night before, Roy Jones Jr. signed a few of his official gloves for me. It is genetically signed and NOT personalized, which considerably enhances the value of this magnificent collector's item.
