Description


Rare Latin 1956 Classic from Goodsbay:
 Original studio recording in Los Angeles, California.  Decca DL 8311 Mono Deep Groove US record.
Music for the Girlfriend was a series of vinyl records produced in the mid 1950's for a joint advertising campaign between Esquire Magazine and Decca Records. The spectacular illustrations on these album covers were by pin-up artist Richard Petty of Scottsdale, Arizona.  
Reproductions of Richards work were used as nose art during the Second World War on various warplanes.  They became to be known as 'Petty Girls'.
Jacket:  NM Check Pictures, Color still vibrant shiny & glossy, Top right corner has small stain, back has stamp stain bottom right.  Almost no corner or edge wear.

Sleeve:  Original some age discoloration.

Vinyl:  NM Plays Great, a few light surface marks on both sides.  Very minor spindle marks.


Artists:  Vintage Mambos, Merengues and Cha Chas by the great Cuban piano player/arranger Bebo Valdes and his orchestra Tropicana !  They don't make them like this anymore - enjoy 1956!

Record will be carefully packed in record mailer with bubble wrap and corrugated panels for shipping.
