Description

Up for auction is an original Australian copy of Ronnie Burns’ debut LP “Ronnie”, released in 1967 on Spin, cat no EL-32,439. This LP features eight compositions by the Brothers Gibb (Top Hat, Exit Stage Right, Coalman, Butterfly, In The Morning, All The King’s Horses, I’ll Know What To Do & Terrible Way To Treat Your Baby), all unreleased by them at the time, although In The Morning featured on the 1969 Melody soundtrack, and the Gibbs’ demos of all the songs were all later included on the “Brilliant From Birth” collection. They also play on most of the cuts on the LP. These songs are key in the development of the Gibbs’ songwriting abilities, incorporating elements of R&B, folk-rock, tape experimentation and early psych. It’s also a really terrific LP on its own terms. Condition: A-side has a few feelable & audible marks, but everything plays through OK without sticks or jumps. B-side is much nicer, with only one small mark. Cover has a couple of thumb creases on the open edge, but is otherwise very clean. Overall EX/VG (cover/vinyl). My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence! Any questions? Need any more photos or an audio sample? I'm only an email away. Payment: UK- cheques (preferred) or Paypal. Rest Of World- Paypal. Email for other accepted methods of payment. Shipping: free (UK 2nd class uninsured); £3 (UK 1st class recorded), £5.50 (Europe) £7 (rest of world-airmail). Check my other Bee Gees auctions; combine orders & save on shipping costs!
