Description

RCA LSC-2377 Stereo LP from 1960; Beethoven Sonata No. 9 for violin and piano in A, Op. 47 “Kreutzer” and Sonata No. 5 for violin and piano in F, Op. 24 “Spring”.  This LP features Henryk Szeryng on violin and Arthur Rubinstein on piano.  The record and the cover are in Near Mint condition.  I’ve played the record in its entirety on a high quality turntable and there were no skips.  There was exceedingly minimal surface noise that you basically have to listen for to even notice.  It nearly plays like a new record.  I did not hear any noticeable “popping” sounds.  The disc runs flat and thus no warps.  Visually the disc is still shinny and has one tiny scratch on side-1 and one 3/4” long scratch on side-2.  They are both superficial scratches and did not affect the playing of the record.   The cover is very clean and does not have any yellowing on either the front or the back.  There is no writing on the cover, no punch marks and no splits on the edges.  The RCA inner sleeve is in excellent condition and has just a single 1 1/2” long split along the center of one edge.
