Description

Karl Böhm ...

Beethoven:  Symphony No.5 in C minor, op.67

rare German first press vinyl LP released 1953 on DEUTSCHE GRAMMOPHON GESELLSCHAFT (DGG) with large tulips and catalognumber 18097 LPM. Both labels are clean with rough texture and deep groove. On side 1 it has the date 3.7.53 stamped into the trailoff vinyl, and on side 2 it dates 7.11.53 ... Beautiful early stitched foldout cover dates 5.55, comes complete with the small paper insert and vinyl all in perfect NEARMINT/MINT condition - cleanest copy I have seen in many years...  Famous reference performance by Karl Bohm conducting the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra recorded with true audiophile soundquality, especially if you use a mono system such as SPU, EMT, Koetsu, etc. Compare with other famous interpretations by e.g. Furtwangler, Klemperer, Cluytens, Fricsay... see photo.
