Description
This is a VINYL copy, yes VINYL of the seminal MUSIC FOR STOWAWAYS and is about as rare as they come. By my reckoning there could not have been more than a few dozen of these babies pressed and as far as I can tell there is only one other copy ( not as good! ) on the market ANYWHERE, and that's from a Dutch new wave record store asking 500 Euros! This is an important recording in many ways. (If you don't know why, just google away)
ORIGINAL DINSONG RECORDS UK RELEASE (V2888).Graded EX- with white cover and stuck on label which reads as below:
MARTYN WARE AND IAN CRAIG MARSH FORMED THE BRITISH ELECTRONIC FOUNDATION (B.E.F.) TO EXPERIMENT IN NEW AREAS OF MUSIC. THE ALBUM FEATURES EIGHT INSTRUMENTAL TRACKS WHICH ARE THE FIRST TO BE RECORDED BY B.E.F. "MUSIC FOR STOWAWAYS" IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC IN CASSETTE FORM IN A LIMITED EDITION OF 10,000 BUT WE FELT THE MUSIC SO SUITABLE FOR THEME MUSIC / INCIDENTAL MUSIC THAT WE HAD SMALL QUANTITY OF ALBUMS PRESSED FOR THEME MUSIC / INCIDENTAL MUSIC THAT WE HAD A SMALL QUANTITY OF ALBUMS PRESSED FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF PRODUCERS AND LIBRARIES. MARTYN WARE AND IAN CRAIG MARSH HAVE AN AFFINITY WITH FILM MUSIC AND WOULD WELCOME APPROACHES FROM PRODUCERS TO WRITE SCORES SPECIALLY FOR FILMS.
