BEGGARS' HILL - LP 1st Press UK FOLK PRIVATE PRESSING SUPERB
A very rare self-titled album by Beggars' Hill on private-pressing MOONSHINE label. The cover bears was autographed by the group's basist and vocalist Dave Frohnsdorff. The original "MECOLICO" tax sticker is intact on Side 1 label (please see explanation below).
A brief history of the "MECOLICO" :
The Mechanical Copyright Licensing Company Ltd. (MECOLICO) was established in 1910. Its purpose was to collect and distribute 'Mechanical' royalties due from the new gramophone companies, i.e. it collects royalties from the record companies on behalf of the artists and composers for the ('mechanical') duplication and distribution of their performances and compositions which are covered by copyright.
Catalog Number : Moonshine MS 60 (private pressing).
Album's Weight (without packaging) : 260 Grams
Cover : Perfect spine and straight opening edges.. would've been graded Mint if not for the very slight whitish marks on parts of the left side of the rear cover and an extremely faint scuff/split located at the bottom edge where the sharp edge of the vinyl rests, graded Excellent+++. It comes with the original white die-cut inner sleeve with "R.S. 4-76" factory-printed on the bottom left.

Labels :
The MECOLICO tax sticker is in superb condition, graded Mint. Both labels are also in pristine condition.. not a single spindle mark in sight.. excess of vinyl can clearly be seen in the spindle hole.. very likely unplayed.. would've been easily graded Mint throughout if not for the presence of faint ageing patches in places (pls see photos, only visible when viewed tilted).. conservatively graded Excellent+++ to Near Mint.
Vinyl :
Superb throughout in every sense of the word... not a single spindle mark visible on the labels.. excess of vinyl can clearly be seen in the spindle hole.. very likely unplayed.. graded Mint.
