Description

Killer hard to find 45 by Northern Ireland group The Belfast Gipsies  (ex members of Them). Songs are: "Secret Police" b/w "Gloria's Dream (Round And Around)". Original U.S. pressing on Loma Records #2051. Condition is VG++ (Excellent) Secret Police side/strong VG+ Gloria's Dream side (writing on label, some fine light needle marks). Plays great.

Ex members of Them crank out a blazing reactionary garage punk anthem on Secret Police. Flip is a killer mod garage dancer re-working of the Them classic Gloria. Recorded in Ireland and produced by legendary LA producer Kim Fowley. Fowley also gets co-songwriting credit.

This 45 was name checked by Iggy Pop as being one of his favorite singles of the 60s.

Grading Scale:

10: Mint Perfect record, clean gloss, no marks, beautiful in every way. Very few records will make mint.

9: Mint- Very clean, only a few light marks. A great record.

8: Excellent (VG++) Condition between 7 and 9.

7: VG+ Used, but not abused. Light scratches only. Should play, and look very nice with minimal surface noise.

6: VG Looks more used, light to moderate scratches, no gouges, still plays well, some surface noise.

5: VG- A bit rough but will play ok. Fills the collection.

4: G Plays very rough. Has multiple scratches. What a bargain!!
