Description
An original copy of the Soul Stirrin’ album (1599) by BennieGreen on the Blue Note label. The musicians here include Sonny Clark, ElvinJones, Ike Isaacs, “Jug” and Billy Root.
The labels on the discsread: “Blue Note Records – 47 West 63rd – NYC.” The following matrixnumber is hand-etched in the trail offs: “BN-LP-1599.” “RVG” is machine-etchedon both sides and there is a distinctive “ear” mark hand-etched on both sidesas well. There is also an “9 M” hand-etched on both sides. This definitely feelslike a heavier-weight piece of vinyl.
The sleeve is still quiteglossy with some overall rubbing. There is tape along three edges (my hunch issome very careful removal and cleaning might get most of this off). The bottomedge is split about 8 inches. Along the open edge there is some wear and a fewsmall tears to the laminate. The back cover has some ring wear, overall rubbingand splotching. Some of the tape along these edges is torn. There are also afew hand-written notes next to some of the tracks, i.e. “FAST” or “SLOW” or“GOOD.”
The vinyl is VG- (6 out of 10, arecord that has been used with visible scuffs, hairlines and small nicksthroughout). This LP comes from a non-smoking home. The record you see in thepicture is the record you will receive.
