MARKED PROMOTIONAL COPY

There are lots and lots of reissues of this classic Benny Carter album but very few of the original release, which this one is. When we acquired a large lot of vintage jazz records we were somewhat disappointed that some of the best ones had covers that were "repaired" with duct tape, as this one is. So where the cover could have been graded as VG (without the duct tape) now it stands as merely "Good". The record is better at a robust VG+. What makes this record special though is that it is a "Marked Promo" copy on both the album jacket (front and back) and label (both sides). Although better copies may be found of this original, they are likely not promos, and likely much more expensive. This is a fairly low price, all things considered.

COVER = GOOD; VINYL = VG+
