For auction is BENNY GOLSON's "Gone With Golson" on New Jazz Purple Label NJLP-8235, MONO, 1960. 

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, it sounds very good, with the following caveats: Side A: A/1 and A/2 have no issues worth mentioning. A/3 has slight static throughout, not too bad. Side B has more issues: A/1 has 4-5 soft pops in one spot, then another 4-5 soft pops later on. Otherwise, its fine. A/2 has a bit of background static throughout.  I judged none of these flaws to be major, i.e., they don't detract from the music or listenability of the record. I just want to be complete and transparent when describing all the salient aural details on this desirable record!

Visually, the vinyl is VG or better, with only superficial scuffs here and there. Record is deep-grooved on both sides, and has RVG etched (maybe stamped?) in dead wax on both sides.  Matrix runouts are etched as follows: "NJLP-8235 A"/"NJLP-8235 B".  The record is on a purple New Jazz label with the Bergenfield, NJ address.

The sleeve is VG or better with a split in the top seam about 1/2 the length. All other corners and seams are sharp. Has "Promo" stamp on reverse. Front cover has routine aging, the back cover is pretty clean and still pretty white.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. 

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
