BENNY GOLSON - *Groovin’ With Golson*
NEW JAZZ NJLP-8220 (MONO - US LP) - BENNY GOLSON - *Groovin’ With Golson*
A GRÔÔVÉ~heAVy HåRD~BØP 1959 LP! Saxophonist Golson (who played and/or composed for
Bull Moose Jackson, Dizzy Gillespie, Johnny Hodges, Earl Bostic and others) delivers KOOL-JAZZ with a bevy
of Allstar players - including beats from Art Blakey (WHOA!), piano from Ray Bryant,
trombone, Curtis Fuller, and bass from Paul Chambers.
DISC = EXCELLENT(+) Very nice and glossy copy. Clean with moderate blemishing, tiny, hard-to-see
‘scratch’ or two, couple hairlines …. close to nm, sounds fantastic, lite use!
COVER = EXCELLENT(+) Lite wear and a little chipping at top seam, tiny staple holes.
