Description

2 BENNY GOODMAN CONCERT ACETATE TRANSCRIPTION DISCS .  APPROXIMATELY 40 MINUTES ON THESE TWO 16 INCH, BLACK LACQUER ACETATE 33 1/3 RPM DISCS.  THESE DISCS WERE RECORDED FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.  VERY RARE!   

This disc contains approximately 40 minutes from a Benny Goodman concert from April 1, 1951.  Songs include "China Boy" trio, "Body And Soul" trio, "Running Wild" trio, "Sunny Side Of The Street" quartet - bass added, "After You've Gone" quintet - guitar added, "Basin Street Blues" Sextet - trombone added, "Rose Room" trio, "Honeysuckle Rose" septet - bass, trumpet?, trumbone?, guitar added, "I've Found A New Baby" trio, "One O'Clock Jump" septet.   I don't know if the concert is complete, all of the songs are complete and there is more significant applause after the last number, which would indicate the end of the performance

Discs are in Excellent+ to Near Mint- Condition with Excellent+ to Near Mint- sound, Beautiful Discs! 

Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables.   For $10 I can include a CD transfer of the entire disc for the buyer
