Scarce vintage jazz LP featuring BENNY GREEN on the BLUE NOTE label, from 1959. 

Title is “WALKIN' and TALKIN'.”  Monaural pressing, catalog number is BLP 4010.  

Record is thick vinyl, with deep groove.   

Label address on both sides is "BLUE NOTE RECORDS * 47 WEST 63rd * NYC.”  First pressing - does NOT have the "R"registry symbol.

Matrix number is hand-etched, and “RVG” is machine-stamped in trailoff vinyl, with "ear" symbol on both sides.   Jacket, which is heavily laminated, states: "For Complete Catalog Write to BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 47 West 63rd Street, New York 23" on reverse at bottom. 

Personnel consists of the following:  Benny Green – trombone;  Eddy Williams – tenor sax;  Gildo Mahones – piano;  George Tucker – bass;  Al Dreares – drums.

Jacket:   Jacket is nice VG+ to VG++.  Front art work is clean and bright.  No splits, writing, or stickers.  Seams are flawless.  Corners have very slight wear spot at tips.  There are some very some very faint moisture stains lightly visible on reverse, but no writing, stickers, or serious problems.  You will be proud to display it.

Vinyl:  Vinyl is gorgeous condition, EX/NM.  Side 1, Track 1, "The Shouter" has a few very slight surface marks due to storage where a small area came in contact with the paper inner sleeve.  This produces a handful of very slight, soft tics approximately one minute into the track, almost unnoticeable, and then quickly subsides – all of the other tracks play beautifully.  I provided a sound clip of this track so you can hear the beautiful sound.  The vinyl displays 100% full brilliant gloss.  It has been played only a very small number of times, perhaps once or twice.  Labels are clean and pristine with no spindle trails.  I believe the winning bidder will be quite pleased with this outstanding item.
