All classical records cleaned on a VPI. I spot play test all listings and visual grade in a well lit environment . With EX, EX- grade, there may be some (but not always) instances with light surface noise in some of the quieter sections due to the wide range of dynamics, but no repeating tics or clicks. Only in rare occasions will I give a NM grade on records pressed in the 1950's and 1960's and I mostly grade as EX+ to be conservative. Only in the more rare and desirable offerings will I list something in the VG or VG+ grade. Records pressed from the 1970's and onwards can get a NM grade.
