Description
Absolutely beautiful copy of the legendary 1962 recording of Berlioz’ Symphonie Fantastique conducted by Charles Munch, on RCA Living Stereo LSC-2608. Original shaded dog labels and 12S/10S stamps. Probably the most beloved recording of this piece ever, and one of the great audiophile recordings of the era, still in print today. But this is the original and the sound is just glorious. This copy really brings out the magic in the recording in ways the represses and the horrible CDs never could. The disc is just about perfectly mint and plays completely flawlessly and just beautifully. A truly spectacular listen. The cover has some light wear on the edges and corners, particularly the top right corner, where it is just barely beginning to split a little. Very faint ringwear and a date written on the back, but really quite a nice cover. Truly this is a top, top copy, very hard indeed to beat. The disc is unbeatable.
