Description

Inevitably overlooked having arrived so soon after his timeless self-titled debut, Bert Jansch’s second studio album saw release in November 1965.

Unlike its predecessor - which took its strength from the repertoire he’d been playing for years - It Don’t Bother Me required the Scot to come up with a completely new batch of songs, often with startling results.

The title track, for instance, is one of Jansch’s finest and most personal songs, reflecting on his new found fame as the poster boy of a new breed of young folk guitarists.  

Other highlights include Lucky Thirteen, a sprightly collaboration with John Renbourn which provided an apt taster of their future work, and 900 Miles, the first traditional song Jansch recorded and the first time he played banjo on record.
