Description

I bought this album new in 1966 from Dobell's record shop on Charing Cross Road London. It was little played at the time by me and has been stored away and completely unplayed since 1968 or 69.  This is a super rare original 1966 UK 1st Pressing, with the first Globe label on Transatlantic TRA 143 and the long Globe label, please see below.

WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT HAS BEEN DESIGNED WITH THE 'NEW' (AT THE TIME!) 'SMALL' GLOBE TRANSLANTIC LABEL - WHICH YOU CAN SEE ON THE COVER!!!!  HOWEVER, SOMEONE MUST HAVE FOUND AN 'OLD BATCH' OF LABELS WITH THE OLD STYLE 'LONG GLOBE' LABEL, AND ONE BATCH ONLY - WERE MADE WITH THESE ULTRA RARE LABELS!!!!  HOWEVER, ALTHOUGH SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE THESE TO BE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS - THIS IS CLEARLY NOT THE CASE, AS THE COVER HAS ALREADY BEEN DESIGNED WITH THE NEW LABELS IN MIND!!!!  SO IT IS CLEAR, THAT BOTH LABEL STYLES WERE MADE AT THE SAME TIME.  THAT SAID, IT IS ALSO CLEAR - THAT THESE 'RAREST EVER' LONG GLOBE LABELS, WOULD HAVE BEEN FOUND AND USED UP PRIOR TO THE RELEASE DATE!!!!  AND IT IS AN ABSOLUTE FACT, THAT THEY ARE THE RAREST POSSIBLE LABELS EVER FOUND ON A 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP!!!!  SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT AT ALL - THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE, AND ALMOST NEVER SEEN NOW!!!!

CONDITION: The record labels are in Excellent condition (see pictures) - no writing or wear, and only a few light spindle marks. The inner sleeve is original to the record with some minor creasing and folded top corner and written numbers (image 8 scan). The album cover has some lifting laminate, both to front and rear covers and a few light scuffs and edge imperfections.

The record on side 1 plays beautifully without any pops, no jumps a little very minor crackle hardly noticeable. Side 2 has some pops but no jumps and very minor crackle. Some minor marks are in evidence, one which is visible on image 6. Any other marks visible on images are light reflections or dust particles.

I am not an expert as far as grading is concerned and I want you to be completely happy with this purchase and so would accept a return if you are in any way dissatisfied with the way I have presented this information on condition.
