Description
Rare. 1946 Hot Jazz Classics C-31 COLUMBIA SHELLAC 10" 4X Records. I found this record album book, the 1940's version of a box set, at an estate sale. The records are in exquisite condition, all of them play all the way through on both sides. I would say NM but I am not expert enough to make such claims. However, please see pictures up close, they are so smooth and shiny it looks like some at least may have never been played. The last record has a 2mm irregularity on one edge, please see pics.
The records you will receive:

COLD IN HAND BLUES
YOU'VE BEEN A GOOD OLD WAGON

EMPTY BED BLUES PART II

YOUNG WOMAN'S BLUES

The book itself, well , the spine wore away almost completely. The front and back cover need to be handled very delicately when opening. They are not torn or detached but they are hanging in there. If you are a jazz or Bessie Smith fan, this is a great opportunity to own a really cool piece of music history!
This is a rare and wonderful box set / bound book of Bessie Smith's Columbia Album C-31, titled "Hot Jazz Classics Vol. 4". The 4x78 RPM records are in great working order and the shellac jazz records are a delight to play. The artist's smooth and powerful vocals are showcased in this collection, making it a must-have for any jazz fan. The record label, Columbia, is known for their high-quality releases and this box set is no exception. The genre is jazz, and there is no shortage of classic tunes in this collection. I am sure that you will be pleased with the sound quality of these records.
