Description
- The Best Of Cream was released in July 1969 on ATCO Records only a few months after the group disbanded. It's a hits compilation that was only available until 1972 before going out-of-print. It was briefly reissued again in 1977 on RSO/Polydor. It's filled with classics including "Sunshine Of Your Love," "Badge," "White Room," "I Feel Free," and more.
- This copy of (SD 33-291) is from the first pressing in 1969 and is in very good condition. The album sleeve has some minor ring wear and a small split on the spine but considering that it's over 50-years-old, I still rate is VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and I rate it VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Rob Grenell at Atlantic Studios in NYC and was pressed by Presswell Records Mfg. Co. in Ancora, NJ. The dead wax on Side 1 is etched with ST-C-691591-A LW AT PR RG W.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 51 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
