COVER STOCK WITH LIGHT RUB AND RING WEAR AND AGE DISCOLORATION. A FEW LIGHT SURFACE SCRATCHES TO FRONT UNDER ANGLED LIGHT. TOP EDGE SPLIT ENTIRE LENGTH AND ABOUT THREE INCHES OF TOP SPINE SIDE. BOTTOM SPLIT DEAD CENTER ABOUT TWO INCHES. BOTTOM EDGE RIGHT CORNER STARTING TO SPLIT.

VIRGIN SPINDLE HOLE(PLEASE NOTE LABEL PHOTO IS SLIGHTLY OUT OF FOCUS). THE HIGH LUSTER VINYL BLANK WITH SOME LIGHT AND FINE SURFACE RUB SCUFF PLAY LINES. I'VE TEST PLAYED THIS LP ON THE VPI TURNTABLE AND PROFESSIONAL SOUND SYSTEM AND IT WAS A WONDERFUL PLAY. THERE WAS A SMALL SPOT ON SIDE TWO ABOUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRACKS THAT ELICITED A LIGHT CLICK ON PLAY FOR A FEW REVOLUTIONS THEN DISAPPEARING. OVERALL IT SOUNDED QUITE FINE AND WAS A SOLID MINT MINUS/VG PLUS PLAY.

RARELY SEEN LP WHICH NOW FETCHES 300 PLUS WHEN SEEING THE LIGHT OF DAY

Singer Beverly Kenney remains one of jazz's great tragedies -- an exquisitely nuanced stylist whose sophisticated phrasing perfectly complemented the cool jazz sensibilities of the late '50s, she committed suicide at the peak of her career and awaits rediscovery by the vast majority of the listening public.

Born in Harrison, NJ, on January 29, 1932, Kenney began her career singing birthday greetings....... Ultimately she relocated to New York City, and in 1954 cut her first demo session with pianist Tony Tamburello (finally issued in 2006 under the title Snuggled on Your Shoulder).
