This is an original USA 1ST PRESSING of Russ Meyer's Psych and Sex movie "Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls" on 20th Century Fox Records 4211 STEREO! Most of the music was written and all was produced by Stu Phillips (the Master of TRUE STEREO SOUND). The screenplay was written by Roger Ebert and the story was co-written by Roger Ebert. Includes songs by "Carrie Nations" and "The Strawberry Alarm Clock".

This is not a cut out. No punch holes exist on this album. Shrink wrap is attached. The music is incredible on this album with very catchy tunes. Carrie Nations really belts out "Sweet Talkin' Candy Man" with her strong "Janis Joplin" type voice. Could the Candyman be carrying sugar cubes laced with LSD? That's all subjective as one has to read between the lines on some of these songs.

The record jacket is in beautiful shape which includes the two seams, spine and the clear, undisturbed printing on the spine. However, there is a thumb indentation on the far-right center-part of the opening (or mouth) of the cover where someone was apparently overly anxious to get the record out.

The record is in beautiful shape with NO surface or needle scratches of scuffs and plenty of Shiny, Glistening black vinyl. The Deep Groove Record Labels show NO sign of ever being placed on a turntable. There are just a few transparent streaks that are inherent in the vinyl but this record may never had been played. However, I played the album and the sound quality is Excellent.

Stu Phillips was a Production Master whose talents easily surpassed that of George Martin who produced The Beatles. As you may already know, Martin was a consideration for album producer initially by Russ Meyers. Supposedly, old George turned it down after reading the movie script. It was a bit too much for straight-laced George.

Anyway, what a wonderful addition this would be to your record collection!!
