Important! Made famous later by Elvis Presley, this is the blues original! This difficult to find 1953 first press 45 (with Night Mare on the b-side) is in above average condition for the issue. There is a slight bump or slow warp at the beginning of the grooves, so you may need to adjust the weight of your tonearm. But unlike most original Peacock 45’s, the record sounds wonderful, with no noise! You can really appreciate Big Mama Thorton’s strong vocals on this one! The matrix numbers include the hand etched initials of Don Robey, the hard-nosed owner of Peacock records. Includes the original plain sleeve. An investment in music history!
