Cosa dire del Biglietto per l'inferno che non sia già stato detto? Un solo album, pubblicato nel lontano 1974, seguito dal 'postumo' "Il tempo della semina", è bastato a consegnare il sestetto lecchese alla storia del rock progressivo italiano e non solo; l'omonimo debutto, oltre ad essere un disco che molti all'estero ci invidiano e ricercatissimo dai collezionisti nella sua versione originale, è costantemente riportato come una delle massime espressioni del(l'hard) rock italico degli anni '70.Cosa sarebbe stato del Biglietto se la band non si fosse sciolta quasi subito lo si può solo immaginare. Restano solo molti ricordi e foto a testimoniarne la carica e la presenza scenica dal vivo... insieme a questo "Live 1974", registrato il 9 maggio a Lecco e miracolosamente sopravvissuto su nastro al passare degli anni, in modo analogo a quanto accaduto per "Il tempo della semina".Questo concerto, pubblicato alcuni anni fa in formato CD papersleeve ed incluso in un bellissimo cofanetto celebrativo, è oggi ristampato in vinile nero 180gr., un tributo doveroso per una band immortale!
What can we say about Biglietto per l'inferno that hasn't been told yet? A single LP, released in 1974 and followed years later by the posthumous "Il tempo della semina", was enough to deliver the band to the history of Italianprogressive rock, and much more. The eponymous debut album is always sold to collectors at very high rates, and is considered one of the must-have for any '70s prog-listener.What if the group didn't fold right after the release of their first LP? We can just imagine... and revive those moments thanks to some interviews and many photos displayed in books and on the Web. "Live 1974" was recorded in Lecco on May 9th, and has miracolously survived the passing of time,hidden in some old tape recentyl found by accident.This concert, which was released a couple of years ago as a papersleeve
CD and included in a beautiful celebratory box-set, is now pressed as a 180gr. audiophile black vinyl: a due tribute for an immortal band!
