Description
For auction is the BILL EVANS TRIO's "Sunday At The Village Vanguard" on Riverside, RLP 9376, Stereo,1961.
SOUND: VG
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The sound is very nice. Portions of the record have a little soft background static. I just want to mention it to be complete; it doesn't detract from the music in my opinion. If you know this record, you know it is a live recording and also a soft-style performance, you hear everything. Unless you're a perfectionist, very enjoyable experience.
VINYL: VG+
There are a few light scuffs here and there, nothing that looks worrisome. The record is on a black "mike-and-reel" label.
COVER: VG+ or better.
The cover is nice. The edges are solid all around and the corners have a little bit of wear. The front cover is clean and unmarked with routine aging. The back cover is clean, but has a little bit of writing on the top.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A very desirable record, in very good condition. No reserve, bidding starts at $50.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
