RARE ORIGINAL MONO LP BY BILL EVANS and his TRIO

MOON BEAMS

Description: Here's my personal copy of Bill Evans' MOON BEAMS---Riverside RLP 428---Mono, with Bill Evans, Piano,Chuck Israels, bass, and Paul Motian, Drums; Recorded in NYC, in 2 sessions, May 29, 1962, and June 5, 1962, just after former bassist Scott LaFaro had died. Liner notes by Joe Goldberg; The vinyl LP has only been played a few times and kept in the original Riverside cover; I'm no expert on grading LP's,  but you can tell this one is not mint: you can see slight streaking both sides of the disk when viewed in highly oblique light---but it seems superficial since I have listened to it through before listing it, and there are no skips,and the surface noise isn't obtrusive--I only played the record a few times, as I recall. The cover has been in the original shrink-wrap (that's the wrinkles of the shrink wrap you see on the image; the surface of the sleeve is unwrinkled), and the spine is in very good condition; however there is some sort of damage to the upper right corner (facing the cover); I don't remember whether  the damage was there when I got it, but if it's damp damage, it didn't affect the recording since there's no sign of damage inside or elsewhere on the cover. It's been kept upright in my record cabinet since I purchased it in the 1960's; Lovely music, and a hard-to find record; I have several other Evans LP's and other jazz, blues, and folk albums from my vinyl collection that I will be listing in the next few weeks.
