Description

A stellar Bill Evans album representing the rebirth of his trio after the death of bassist Scott LaFaro. Trio '64 was an entertaining and interesting outing, and Bill's first for Verve, but Trio '65 represents the gelling of a compelling lineup that was to last for two more years, featuring Chuck Israels (who currently composes for, leads, and records a fantastic eight-piece band in Portland, Oregon - check him out!) on bass and Larry Bunker on drums.
Engineered by Rudy Van Gelder, who saw to it that the first pressings of the LP bore his stamp on the disc - on both sides!
Disc is in beautiful shape, and the colorful gatefold sleeve with excellent liner notes by Don Nelson is a nice bonus.
