Description

BILL HALEY & THE COMETS - "ROCK WITH BILL HALEY and the COMETS" - Transworld TWLP-202. 

Scarce original U.S. 1st pressing. These are the cuts recorded on the Essex & related Transworld label before signing with Decca and their smash success, beginning with "Rock Around The Clock". Some of the 45s were recorded under the name Bill Haley & the Saddlemen, before changing the name to the Comets. Great rockabilly, and considered to the the first Rock & Roll recordings, (some predate Elvis' Sun recordings). Includes "ROCK THE JOINT", "CRAZY, MAN, CRAZY"; "REAL ROCK DRIVE", etc. (see the 3rd photo for song titles).    

NOTE - the 1st 2 photos with this listing each show a different portion of the front cover. (Done on a scanner, so no room for the entire cover at time!). 

The vinyl is VG+  

The cover is VG+. There is a neat tape repair of seam split at top & bottom (each approx. 10"), which is nearly invisible from the front.
