BILLIE HOLIDAY Lady In Satin VINYL LP Original 1st Press 1960s CBS UK Issue EX
Here is a nice early issue copy of the classic Billie Holiday album ‘Lady In Satin’.Originally issued in the UK in 1958 on the Fontana label, this is a copy of the first UK CBS release - from around 1967.
This carries the matrix numbers A1/B1, indicating it is a first pressing of this edition.

Condition: EX-/EX-
Sleeve is front laminated, as issued, and still has a good shine. Rear cover displays only moderate age/handling wear. Vinyl visually grades Ex- with just a few surface scuffs. I’ve played it through the most obvious scuff and the LP plays well. Overall, a very nice vintage copy of an classic album.
Gradings are visual rather than aural, using the Record Collector guide (see below).

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
