BILLY FURY 1963 EP AM I BLUE DECCA DFE 8588
On offer is the BILLY FURY 45rpm EP entitled AM I BLUE released on Decca DFE 8588 in1963. The record has unboxed Decca labels and has the 1st press -1C/ -1C matrix stampers. It is quite a rare Billy EP to find these days: especially in the nice condition that this example is in.
- The flip-back laminated front picture sleeve is in EX- condition: there is a tiny loss of laminate on the front cover under the DECCA logo and a crease in the bottom right hand corner: BUT these are only minor – it is still a lovely sleeve with a great picture of Billy (as you can see from the scan).
- The back (non-laminated) sleeve is also in nice condition – with some writing on it (see scan) – which is the only blemish.
- The disc labels are in lovely EX condition with hardly any spindle wear.
- The vinyl is in LOVELY EX /EX- condition with some minor scuff and surface marks only. The disc has a lovely sheen / gloss to the vinyl on both sides.
- I have just test played the EP on my BOSE hi-fi for the first time in many years and it plays very nicely indeed.
- The EP comprises 5 tracks [which is unusual for early 1960s EPs which only had 4 as a rule]. Tracks are: Wondrous Place / That’s Enough / Tell Me How You Feel / Am I Blue / What Am I Living For.
