BILLY PRESTON, Thats the way god planned it, original UK 1969 Apple first issue album.

SAPCOR 9, original UK 1969 Apple record labels.

A hard to find UK issue in original condition, featuring:

1. Billy Preston became friends with George Harrison and he become one of the artists to be signed to The Beatles newly launched ‘Apple’ record label,

2. as this is a very first UK issue from 1969 it features a dark green ‘Apple’ on side one,

3. the record features earliest ‘mothers’, being, ‘1’ and ‘1’,

4. on the record label on side two, the track titles appears as, ‘Let us all get together right now’, but on the rear of the sleeve this track appears as, ‘Let us all get together now’, ie the word ‘right’ is missing !,

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good condition. The sleeve is fully laminated. The spine is in very good+ condition and most of the text on the spine is readable. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. On the rear of the sleeve there is a ‘scuff’ mark and some of the laminate and colour has been lost.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original period EMI plain white ‘Patent No 1,125,555’ inner sleeve. The sleeve is made from the original quality ‘heavy’ grade paper and the inside of the sleeve has a ‘textured’ surface. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a split to one of the side edges and some light age related marks here and there.

THE RECORD: side one is in near very good condition. Side two is in very good+ condition. The record is made from the period, quality 1960s, thick, heavy vinyl.

The matrix are: SAPCOR 9 A – 3 and SAPCOR 9 B – 3,

The mother / stampers are: ‘1 H’ and ‘1 O’ earliest ‘mothers’,

THE AUDIO: side one is very good+, it plays with some light ‘crackle’ and some ‘ticks’ heard here and there. Side two, plays very good++, it plays with some light ‘ticks’ heard here and there. The record plays with a full powerful, period stereo sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: each label is in very good+ condition. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
