Review: Pianist Billy Taylor's regular trio of sounds quite tight on this live set (recorded 'live' at The Prelude, New York; February 4, 1960) even though they had only been together a brief time. Taylor performs a wide-ranging program within the modern mainstream of the early '60s, including four of his originals and a driving version of "'S Wonderful."

The Billy Taylor Trio recorded live at the PRELUDE, on the outskirts of Harlem.
