William Robert Emerson was a blues / rockabilly pianist who recorded as Billy "the Kid" Emerson. He is noted for having written Billy Riley's big hit "Red Hot". He worked in bands with Ike Turner, and wrote songs for Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, Willie Mabon and Wynonie Harris. He now works as a pastor in a church in Oak Park. Illinios as Rev. William R Emerson.
Record has seen many plays. Has some surface wear a few scuffs and scratches and some label damage on the "B" side. Has writing on both labels ( see scans).
