BILLY VAUGHN
And His Orchestra
SIDE A: RUEDAS
(Wheels)
SIDE B: AZAHARES
(Orange Blossom Special)
MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find very first Mono press released by “Ultra High Fidelity” Dot Records, made and distributed in Chile in 1961 by Corporación De Radio De Chile S.A. (CRC Records), licensed from Dot Records Inc., USA, catalog number 45-D-25, with machine etched matrix numbers 45-D-25-A R1 in Side A and 45-D25-B R1 in Side B, with traditional black/silver Dot Records labels, with tricolor “Dot” logo and 3-prong push-out center, with white circle around the spindle hole. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!
“Wheels” (originally released in 1960 by The String-A-Longs) by Billy Vaughn (with song “Orange Blossom Special” as Side B, originally released in 1939 by Ervin & Gordon Rouse and also recorded by, among others, Johnny Cash in 1965) was originally released in December 1960 and we had to wait until 1961 to see this single released here in Chile. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and additional information about the tax law applicable in Chile, licenses, play time of each song and the original price, “E° 1,26”, printed in Side A. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS, with Spanish-written song titles, of this successful single by Billy Vaughn And His Orchestra, a record almost never seen and maybe auctioned here in eBay by the very first time!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Billy Vaughn, The String-A-Longs, Johnny Cash and early days of Rock’N’Roll and Country/Bluegrass music!!!
This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in nice VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many scuffs, hairlines and light scratches, which don’t affect play, with the push-out center intact. Labels are in EX+ or NM- condition both sides, clear and clean, with minimal spindle hole wear and micro tears. The sound is in strong EX+ or even NM- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a very soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with minimal occasional and barely audible soft crackles here and there, which don’t cause any distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS, with Spanish-written titles, maybe not for the strictest Minty minds or audiophiles, but for sure with still a nice glossy look, almost immaculate labels and great sound quality after about 58 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Chilean record!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!
Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…
Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile
___________________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
