Description
BING CROSBY CLASSICS 1949 Came With 1st 33rpm LP Record Player PHILCO M-15 NICE!
PHILCO SOUVENIR LONG PLAYING RECORD
Bing Crosby
Released before May 12, 1949 / Philco 435/6
10" 33rpm LP Record
The Standard Catalog of American Records has this entry for this record:
Philco LP 436 10" Crosby Classics 195? $40
— Custom item for Philco (front cover has "Philco: Famous for Quality the World Over")
They ought to add a note that the way you got this record was to buy the Philco M-15 record player, the first 33-rpm record player designed for playing Columbia's new Long-Playing records — the first player for the modern microgroove format.
The record was pressed by Columbia and except for the snazzy "Bing Crosby Autograph" label seems to be identical to the Crosby Classics LP they themselves released in 1949 (Columbia CL6027).
Goldmine's Vinyl Answer: The Music Lover's Guide to Record Collecting (2017) includes Columbia CL6027 in a list of "notable releases from the first pioneering months of the long-playing record" and assigns a value of $150 to it.
Shown below are screen captures from a 2013 YouTube video titled, "1948 Philco model M-15 album length record player."
Lucky guy bought an M-15 on eBay and it came with all the paperwork — and the Crosby record. The sales receipt he has for it is dated May 12, 1949. So, the Philco version of Crosby Classics was certainly available by that date. How much earlier it may have been available is a worthy subject for further research. It may even be possible that it predates the Columbia release.

YOU DO NOT GET A PHILCO M-15 RECORD PLAYER
OR ANY OF THE OTHER ITEMS SHOWN IN THE VIDEO
The record I am selling here lacks the sleeve.
It's in very attractive condition, some scratching but nothing horrible. One label is flawless, the other is flawless except for a tiny white scuff.
A worthy addition to even the most advanced collection of recorded music, record players, or Bing Crosby memorabilia.
All photographs are of actual item.
Full refunds cheerfully given for any item that I have misdescribed.
