Description
Ok, this is one of many records i will be auctioning over the next few months. It is from a family personal collection that i have inherited. I understand it is from 1952 from the info on the web; http://www.enotes.com/topic/Bird_%26_Diz.
I don't pretend to understand the 'professional' collector's grading of vinyl and covers but to the layman the cover looks pretty good, and the disc has a paint mark on the edge(?) and some light scratching. I don't own a record player so cannot say if it jumps etc, but it does look pretty good condition overall
The disc is marked MG C 512 A, and MG C 512 B on the other side.

The producer is Norman Granz and there is a description printed on the reverse sleeve;
Modern jazz has had from the start two main sources whence came most of the ideas. These two founts, as it were, of inspiration and of ideas are Charlie Parker and Dizzie Gillespie. Indisputably they have enriched the lore of jazz throughout the world. They have taken what people have built before them, refashioned it in many ways, added to it and have sent the jazz edifice soaring for others to look up to; be inspired by and eventually, build up on...........................................
The record also boasts the presence of Buddy Rich, Thelonius Monk and Curley Russell.
Just by doing a small bit of research into a music genre i am uneducated in, i think this is quite an important record , so i am willing to post it worldwide so it ends up with the right owner.
