Description
THE BIT’ A SWEET-45-“Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind” b/w “Is It On-Is It Off”-M-G-M Records #K13695-DJ Issue-Killerkool and MONSTER 1967 New York Garage-Punk. A side you all know from either this version or one of the many others (LIMEY & THE YANKS for instance)—fuzz-guitar driven masterpiece—Band did this track when they appeared in the ‘68 flick “Blonde On A Bum Trip” … side is more “Hold On I’m Comin’” Sam & Dave style R&B …
Condition: Record is is hard to grade; this is a really rare record, so I’ll try to be really strict—G- to G—possibly slightly better; some mid to moderate wear, surface and paper scuffs visible in certain light angles-A side has the surface scuff thing from the way the label was put on the record during manufacturing--hard to say what I mean-if you have a lot records you know what I mean as you most likely have ones like this---anyway-it looks like a very LIGHT from the center of the label-visible on the inner and outer deadwax pattern--—At a glance, when looking at this in ‘normal’ light-LOOKS VG+ or better-however, under close inspection under a spotlight (I use a spotlight like you have in your back yard or above the garage) you can see the light wear, scuffs etc. Plays fine with some light but somehwhat continual and remotely obvious background noise on the A side, noticeable on the chorus at times in particular-due to both condition and pressing as pointed out. B side is more noisy as far as background noise is concerned-especially evident on the opening deadwax; also a slight blemish visible in certain light angles.
Label clean on B side; A side has 2 ‘x’s in ink on A side (see photo).
