THE BLACK ACES OF SOUL & THE EYES OF EBONY, "BETROTHAL" b/w "LET'S GET ON DOWN" (Black World, 1971)

Insanely rare and killer funk 45 from Grand Rapids, MI by The Black Aces Of Soul & The Eyes Of Ebony; recently comped on Luv 'N' Haight's 'Searching For Soul: Rare and Classic Soul, Funk and Jazz From Michigan, 1968-1980.'  Only a handful (5 - 6) known copies according to one expert.  As sick as it gets.  Both sides LOUD and playing with NO skips! DON'T MISS OUT!  NO RESERVE!  Sound clip below.

CONDITION: / VG (details: Label wear. 'Betrothal' side has numerous surface scratches - no chips, cracks or gouges - all producing noise and crackles during quieter moments and at the beginning and end of the song. 'Let's Get On Down' side has more scratches than the 'Betrothal' side - again, no chips, cracks or gouges - with frying or surface noise throughout.  Luckily, the song was mastered loudly enough that all surface noise is drowned out and/or rendered unobtrusive while the music is playing.  Obviously not top shape, but plays with NO SKIPS on either of my two turntables.)
