You are bidding on this long out of print first pressing LP copy of The Black Crowes' classic first album "$hake Your Money Maker". Released in 1990, the first pressing was printed up crediting only George Drakoulias as producer, and completely leaving Def Jam mega-producer Rick Rubin's name off of the record. All subsequent pressings include Rubin's name stamped prevalently as producer. A classic rock and roll record from when the Crowes were young and hungry, still considered by many their best work. All this and an incredibly rare first pressing with the Rubin ommission!! Fantastic. Also includes original inner sleeve insert with those wacky stoned cartoon crowes. Those were the days...

This record has been cleaned on a professional grade VPI record cleaning machine. Having inspected the vinyl and sleeve under a 200 watt bulb, I would describe both as very good plus plus--the vinyl shows only a few extremely faint marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. The outer sleeve is free from any creasing, bends or ringwear, and has original sticker (it says "INCLUDES: JEALOUS AGAIN, TWICE AS HARD. DEF/2-24278) and a gold "Promo Only" kind of stamp. The inner sleev is creased in one corner probably from being forced into the jacket, but is free of ringwear and markings, and in general is in good shape.

This record will be shipped in a new cardboard mailer designed for shipping records, NOT in some jury-rigged postal box. We're all record collectors here at Jackpot Records and know firsthand the frustration in receiving a great record in terrible packaging. We will pack your record as carefully and lovingly as if we were sending it to ourselves.
