This is a 3-LP vinyl 90-minute radio show of the "Superstar Concert" series issued by Westwood One in 1991. This one is a "split" show featuring separate performances by the BLACK CROWES and WINGER. This is show #91-11 for broadcast weekend of March 16 & 17, 1991.

Both acts were professionally recorded live. Winger at The Palace in Auburn Hills, MI. The Black Crowes live in California earlier in their career, as the audience doesn't seem too familiar with the songs yet.

These shows feature just portions of a show, not the entire concert and also includes national commercials from the time.

The LPs were pressed on dark translucent vinyl for superior audio quality.

These 90-minute shows were available only to radio stations in the US who subscribed to the weekly broadcasts. Up until the mid 90s they were issued on vinyl LPs.

These were NOT sold in stores and are instant collectors items!

The LPs were issued in the standard WW1 box package in rice paper sleeves with DJ "cue" sheets.

(NOTE: Disc 1 contains sides 1 and 4, Disc 2 contains sides 2 and 5, Disc 3 contains sides 3 and 6, so the segments can be played seamlessly in proper order on the air on separate discs)

ITEM CONDITION (see Goldmine Standards below for details)

DISC 1: VG, slight warp
VERY NICE, shiny and clean surfaces with minor surface pops w/ some dust & minor surface marks from the rice paper sleeves. Slight warp does not affect play. Played a couple times and has been stored away since 1991. NO writing/markings on the labels.

DISCS 2 & 3: VG+
VERY NICE, shiny and clean surfaces with minor dust & surface marks from the rice paper sleeves. Played a couple times and has been stored away since 1991. NO writing/markings on the labels.

SLEEVE/ARTWORK: Good
Original box package has ink writing on the front right corner and the box has your basic torn seam corners, typical for this sort of package. Has clear tape repairs along the edges & corners. Cue Sheet has several ink & highlighter markings.

GOLDMINE STANDARD VINYL CONDITION CODES:

NEAR MINT: A nearly perfect record. Disc shows no obvious signs of wear. A 45 RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling.

An LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits or other noticeable similar defects. No cut-out holes, either. The same for any inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves etc... 

VERY GOOD+: A VG+ records show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.

Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK".

The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play.

Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount.

VERY GOOD:  Flaws found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.

Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them.

Goldmine price guides with more than one price will list Very Good as many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. GOOD/GOOD+: Good does not mean Bad! A record in Good or Good+ Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and sometimes visible groove wear.

A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.

POOR or FAIR: The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled, and written upon. ______________________________________________________________
