Description
This is the original UK LP by BLACK SABBATH, PARANOID, on the VERTIGO 'Spaceship' label 6360 011, originally released in 1970, this I believe to be a RARE 3rd Pressing, released late 1972
This Rare presssing was cut from the original 1970 Master Tapes, to ensure a top quality sound
Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- 6360011 1Y #2, Side 2:- 6360011 2Y#2
Stamper codes are, Side 1:- 420 12 09C 2 C 2 16, Side 2:- 420 1 2 26
The cover - The cover is a believe a original 1970 1st issue E.J DAY gatefold cover. So many were made back in 1970 that many were not used adn around this period this was a common practice. Although it doesn't have E.J DAY credit on the inside of the cover, its is without doubt a E.J Day cover, the quality is there!, thickly laminated on the ouside, with bright vibrant colours, and also the build quality is 1st class, later covers were no made as well, not so solid, the colours were not so vibarant and the outside of the cover was not laminated
The original UK1st issue thickly laminated E. J DAY cover is in a STRONG EX condition, only showing light minimal wear to the corners. The seams shows barely any wear, strong, intact and lovely and clean. The spine is lovely and clean, fully intact and prefectly readable. The thickly laminated outside maintains all it's original glossy bright vibrant colour, only minimal laminated creasing mainly on the left hand front edge, not visually intrusive. I have graded it EX, would be graded higher, but for a small area of damage on the back, again not visually intrusive. Inside the gatefold is lovely and clean and fresh, no stains, no rips, no scuffs, maintaining all it's original colour. Their are NO seams splits and NO unwanted writing.
The vinyl is in a EX+++ condition!!, ASTONISHING!! . The vinyl gleams with all it's original 'Just Pressed glossy shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very carefully!) and the vinyl plays EX+++ / MINT-, playing with stunning crisp clear clarity, amazing Stereo sound!!!!. 'Planet Caravan' 3rd track on side 1 plays with a hint of underlying crackle, very light and a few pops it be heard mid way through, thats it, ALL other tracks play perfectly. The quality of the Stereo is TOP TOP QUALITY!, playing with stunning rich tones, warmth and depth!!
THE CLARITY and CRISPNESS is SIMPLY SUBLIME!, a great LP and a sheer joy and privilage to listen too!, STUNNING!!
The VERTIGO 'Spaceship' label's are in EX+++ / ** MINT- ** condition!!!, beautifully clean and factory fresh!, maintaining all their original bright fresh colour, their is no unwanted writing, no scuffs, the centre spindle hole shows little or no wear!, consistant with the stunning condition of the vinyl, beautiful labels!
The vinyl is housed in it's original LATE 1972 UK issue polythene lined inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is in EX condition!, ONLY '669' has been written on the front, top right, small and not intrusive, their is no other unwanted writing and no seam splits
