Black Sabbath---"Black Sabbath"---Original Rare Italian 1st Pressed Stereo Album In VG Playing/VG+ Condition On The Vertigo Swirl Label---1=1 & 2=1 From 1970---A Nice Old Rare Italian Swirly Copy!
This is an Italian copy from 1970 in stereo on the Vertigo swirl label, cat. no. VO 6 with matrices 1=1 and 2=1.
Vinyl: VG Average. The vinyl is in reasonable looking condition with some marks, hairlines and paper scuffs. A couple are heavy and the whole album plays through without sticking or jumping and the clarity is amazing compared to the look. Side 1: plays with a little ticking at the quiet start of track 1 and also at the end of the same track, but the track sounds great. Track s 2, 3 and 4 have the quality of almost NM, with just a little light surface noise between tracks 2, 3 and 4. On side 2, track 1 has ticking from almost the end of the track and into track 2, during quieter parts. The last movement of track 2 then plays almost NM as does the rest of the side, which is track 3.
Labels: VG. Labels are in great condition with an inked name 'PAUL' on side 2. The swirl side looks just great. There are no other markings. There is heavy spindle wear. Don't get me wrong, although this one sounds great because most of the songs are loud, it has seen a lot of play over the last 50!! years. Pretty clean and tidy, though.
Sleeve: VG+. The gatefold sleeve is in solid condition with a little heavy edge, spine and corner wear. Still works well though and the inside of the gatefold looks great. There is no swirly inner sleeve with this one.
With a low start price you could get yourself a real bargain.
