Description
A few years back a friend asked me to sell his first pressing Vertigo swirl Master of Reality LP. “I don’t suppose you have the poster do you?” I asked. “Somewhere” he said. A couple of months passed, he couldn’t find it so I sold the LP on ebay (in excellent condition, I might add) without the poster. Then he only goes and finds the poster. Fast forward to a few months ago and I pick up what looks like a pretty decent 1st pressing of the LP. Great, now I can sell the LP with the poster.
Yesterday I cleaned and listened to the LP and… what a disappointment, just too many clicks. So the upshot is, I am selling the poster WITHOUT the record.
The poster is in very good vintage condition. It measures 68cm x 46cm and has a matt finish stock. It has a drawing pin hole to each of its four corners and a 1cm split to the edge of one of the folds (see close-up photos). The back has a little of what looks like “foxing” (small brown marks) or it could be some kind of staining, or even a mixture of the two (see close-up photo). Whatever it is, you can certainly tell from the back that the poster has real age and is not one of the modern reproductions.
If you already have a good copy of the album you can now make it complete with this authentic original poster.
So, just to be clear, this listing is for the poster only. No record or cover, just the poster.
It will be folded along its original fold lines and sent flat between stiff card in a large envelope.
