Description
Genuine original RARE FIRST PRESSING WITH "PHILIPS LABEL ENDORSEMENT"
Black Sabbath 1970 Vertigo Swirl VO6 847 903 VTY Gatefold vinyl LP
Has the "A Philips Record Product" beneath VERTIGO, unlike some mis-described 1st pressings that are not the original. Also with Ossie misspelling
Has the VO6 1Y and VO6 2Y first press markings
Also has "Copyright subsists in all Stereo recordings" which was a mistake on this first press and should have read "Vertigo recordings"
In great condition for age, original gatefold sleeve outer cover generally very good just with light edge wear from use, slight crease mark across middle ,front and back flat and clean, the back has a couple light scratches, light corner wear, great for nearly 50 years old, spine is solid and edge just readable vertigo/ black sabbath
Complete with original swirl poly lined swirl inner cover slightly age faded with one tiny biro pen swirl see photo
On visual inspection the LP looks amazingly good with no major deep visible marks but PLEASE NOTE I cannot test its playing as I have no turntable. Note all vinyl LPs give clicks and pops and surface noise and would suggest a professional clean before playing due to its age albeit it has been kept in sleeve whole life
There are a couple minor hairline scratches but vinyl looks amazing for its age and is stored totally flat and not warped in any way
This has been in the family since newly bought in 1970 and been in storage for some 40 years!
The record is sold as visually inspected only so base your bidding on this
