Description
Rare original issue - 1st of 3 original green WB label releases of the 1971 Sabbath classic "Master of Reality" album with labels sporting misprinted title and listing additional non-existent tracks (supposedly played as a joke on Warner Bros Record Company by the band - it took WB two additional tries to finally get it right).
This LP offers FAIRLY DECENT play quality provided you can handle ocassional pops and ticks scattered throughout - certainly not considered audiophile quality but in my experience it plays as good, if not better, than the vast majority of any of the subsequent green label (or later) versions being offered for sale here on EBAY.
Clean soundstage on this (I've cleaned it using a special non-alchol/liquid process to remove dust and debris nestled deep in grooves) with no significant background interference from hiss/crackle but suffers from occasional pops, ticks/clicks scattered throughout (repeated ones in a couple of spots) due from scratches (none of which cause any skips0. Most of the pops and ticks are lower audible - less than a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Vinyl surface reflects numerous mars (scuffs) and scratches on both sides while labels are considered very fine to near mint condition in appearance.
Album jacket is correct embossed version (high relief) reflecting nice gloss/sheen (mirror like finish - not worn from being slid in and out of a stack of records), no significant creases - just 4 minor ones emanating fron spine edge inward. No bends or scuffs marring the black surface or the lettering, and no real discernible album/ring impression. Wear is concentrated to the top and bottom corners on album insert side and top corner of spine. No seam splits along either the top or bottom edges. Spine is tight with limited wear/color breaks - pretty nice overall with band name and album title completely readable. Same with catalog number, however the B in BS 2562 partially obscured by edge wear. Top and bottom corners reflect some minor wear. Comes with original WB inner sleeve in good condition - 4" seam split on one side (top down).
Poster is vintage/correct and in excellent condition. Clean with no rips, tears or creases. No pinholes or tape residue from being displayed - appears this was never displayed.
This is your opportunity to pick up this truly rare collectible Sabbath album for a decent price.
