This is a UK first pressing with 1Y//1 and 2Y//1 matrixes and everything is guaranteed to be original and genuine, including the original, genuine, first press poster (NOT a reproduction, or from a non-UK pressing or a reissue).
The vinyl is play-graded Very Good plus (VG+) . The vinyl has some hairlines, sleeve-removal lines and a few small surface marks. I have played the whole record and there are no jumps, skips or sticking and it generally sounds great. It has some background noise, fuzziness and some small clicks, but there’s nothing bad. Like most copies, there was some noise in the two instrumentals, the end section of 'Children of the Grave' and 'Solitude', but there was nothing that overwhelms the music anywhere. On side one I heard about ten very quiet clicks (only in the right channel) in 'Sweet Leaf' and a couple of random pairs of clicks elsewhere, but that was all. I would play-grade side one as Very Good plus (VG+). Generally, I would say that most of side two play-grades around Excellent minus (Ex-) with the exception of 'Solitude' which had more clicks than the other tracks, including some longer-lasting soft clicks, but again, nothing overpowering. I would play-grade 'Solitude' on its own around Very Good (VG) so overall side two probably play-grades around Very Good plus (VG+), with most of it better than that and only 'Solitude' grading lower. Overall, this is a decent, playable example, but it's not a copy for someone seeking flawless mint audio. I would play-grade both sides around Very Good plus (VG+).
The labels have spindle marking and normal signs of use, but no damage, writing, stickers etc.
The box cover has normal signs of wear and use, including creases and wear around the edges and corners and a few minor marks, but there's nothing major. I've shown all the edges in the photos so please have a look at these.
The original poly-lined Vertigo swirl inner sleeve (date coded 0671) has one small seam split and normal signs of age and use with some creases and discoloration around the edges etc, but this is a decent example.
Unlike lots of copies that are being sold these days, the poster is an original UK Vertigo first press poster - GUARANTEED. It is complete and intact and generally looks fine. However, as can be seen in the last photos, the poster has been on display at some point and so has sellotape on the rear. The poster has then been re-folded and put back into the cover, during which time the sellotape on the rear has partially stuck to the picture and when the poster was subsequently unfolded it caused a few small areas of surface damage to the image, which have then been touched-in to reduce their appearance. The second-to-last photo shows the rear or the poster with the sellotape and the last photo shows a close-up of the affected area of the picture, but overall the poster still looks presentable, and is guaranteed original.
