Description
BLACK SABBATH
Title : Master of Reality Label : Vertigo Catalogue No : 6360 050
Matrix : 6360050 1Y//1 - 2Y//1
Issue : UK 1st Press
This is a rare UK 1st press of ‘Master Of Reality' by Black Sabbath. This press has the earliest 6360050 1Y//1 - 2Y//1 matrix and the rare black spiral Vertigo label. It is complete with the original laminated envelope sleeve.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl is still jet black, with a sensational bright gloss. It has only been lightly played. There is no sign of whitening or heavy play to the grooves, there are just a few light marks on both sides, but certainly nothing heavy and nothing that significantly affects the sound quality.
The earliest black label is in Very Good condition. It is exceptionally bold and unworn. There is a faint name in blue pen. The white is superb, the text is sharp and there is just the slightest spindle wear.
When played the sound is rich, vibrant and complete with the original bold audio separation. There is very slight noise in the quieter moments but nothing that spoils the enjoyment of this rare 1st press at any point. The sound is bold and clear from start to finish.
The laminated envelope sleeve is in Very Good condition. The black is bold and the colours are vivid. The laminate has a sensational mirrorlike gloss. The edges have some light wear and there is an old price written on the corner of the sleeve. The back is completely clean with the original 6360 050 catague number in the corner.
