Description
A great opportunity to buy a VINYL LP from the 70's by Black Sabbath called "Master Of Reality".
This item includes the original limited edition POSTER.
This is a U.K. pressing released in 1971 on the Vertigo label (6360 050). It has a total of 8 tracks (see photos for track listings).
The matrix numbers are:- 6360050 1Y // 1 420 11 24 (side 1) and 6360050 2Y // 1 420 12 24 (side 2).
The vinyl is in a clean GOOD condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are many surface marks noticeable, but no deep scratches. I have played the whole of both sides and on side one it plays as excellent, apart from the final minute, where there is a click on each revolution. On side two, there is a click for a few revolutions at the start and also on part of the quiet track. There is some surface noise evident on the quiet sections between the tracks, otherwise it plays remarkably well and doesn't jump or stick.
The labels are clean and free from any writing, marks or major defects.
The record is perfectly flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed within its original Vertigo Swirl poly-lined inner sleeve in a GOOD condition, with some minor creasing and a small biro mark on one side.
The embossed lettering box cover is in a GOOD condition. The corners have suffered from some wear, but the flaps are still intact and it closes properly. The title on the spine is clearly visible (see photo), but this is at the top and close to the corner which has suffered most from the wear. The rear cover has a crease in the top right-hand corner.
The POSTER is in an EXCELLENT condition and has clearly remained folded for all of its life. There is no evidence to suggest it has ever had cellotape, blue-tac or drawing pins holding it on a wall and it is in a well preserved clean condition. The photos show the poster in the open front view, the open back view and the folded state. The poster measures 68cm x 45cm.
Overall despite the cover and the vinyl, I am sure this item will be of interest to collectors, if only to obtain a copy of the elusive POSTER.
