Description
First US pressing of Black Sabbath's sludge metal classic Master of Reality, Warner BS 2562. Green Warner labels, with name misprinted as Masters of Reality (this was corrected on later pressings). Record has quite a few surface scratches and scuffs, and the surface noise is significant during quiet parts, but being Black Sabbath, there aren't that many quiet parts. A lot of people would have graded this VG, but I try to be conservative so nobody's disappointed. There's a stain where something was spilled on the Side 2 label. Plays fine, without skips, and very listenable (I've listened to it twice). Cover has some creasing, and quite a bit of edge and corner wear, but the seams are holding together. There's a 2 1/2" piece of tape on the spine.

Mint: This grade is very rarely used, and usually only describes records that have never been opened.
Near Mint (NM): Shiny, no scratches, no writing or other marks on label, no significant surface noise. May have very light surface marks that do not affect play. Sometimes I'll grade VG++ if it's very close to NM but not quite.
Very Good Plus (VG+): May have some light surface scratches, but the surface noise doesn't detract from listening experience. There may be a small amount of writing or other marks on the label.
Very Good (VG): Has some scratches and surface noise that can be heard during quiet parts and between songs, but it still plays well. There may be writing or other damage on the label.
Good (G) to Good Plus (G+): Surface noise is starting to distract from the music, but the record still plays through without skipping.
There may be damage or heavy writing on the label. These are the lowest grades I will sell.
Covers:
Mint: This condition is practically never used for a cover, because you can always find something wrong with it (this is true even with brand new records).
Near Mint (NM): Looks like it was just bought new. May be in original shrink wrap, but not necessarily. Absolutely no splits, cutouts, writing, or ring wear. Can have very minor wear to corners or edges. Sometimes I'll grade VG++ if it's very close to NM but not quite.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Looks good, but has minor wear, and can have a small seam split or a cutout.
Very Good (VG): Has obvious ring wear, seam splits, or writing, but still functional and looks OK.
Good (G) to Good Plus (G+): So much wear that artwork is affected, lots of seam splits or lots of writing.
Poor (P) to Fair (F): Barely holding together if at all, looks bad.
