'ITS THE VINYL COUNTDOWN'

Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL  EX  STRONG     SUPER PLAY CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the  1st UK  HEAVYWEIGHT VERTIGO LARGE SPIRAL pressing-

Stored from new this LP has seen REMARKABLY..WELL BELOW AVERAGE PLAYS, and remains in SUPERB CLEAN  condition everywhere.

WE HAVE NEVER SEEN A CLEANER EXAMPLE OF THIS LEGENDARY LP

This pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone

THERE ARE BELOW AVERAGE spider lines around the centre hole, hardly any wear to the spindle hole whatsoever.

There are a few light fine whisp lines, a few tiny light hairlines on both sides- and thats it-  nothing else!  Just a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..

No warping or dishing..and the vinyl remains super flat!

On playing through we heard some light lead in static in the dead grooves..the very occassional static along the way - a stunning listen & it sounds like new as it could be! There were no jumps or sticks..and a professional hoover cleaner could remedy this even higher play- and it REALLY sounds fantastic already!

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

THE SLEEVE     EX

NON LAMINATED UK issued earliest MATT GATEFOLD sleeve  -with the SQUARE SPINE

Printed by  -NO CREDIT

This is in SUPER CONDITION , quite amazing how it has survived so clean. MOST COPIEAS WE SEE ARE NOT WORTH AUCTIONING..BAD WEAR, DOGGY CORNERS, RUB AND GENERAL 'TATTINESS' IS SO COMMON ON THIS SLEEVE

IT DOES have some  traces of rub, and some on the edge tips , BUT all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition

THERE IS, INCREDIBLY, NO RING WEAR AT ALL!

NO ring press, and all edges are nice, with just some light edge wear along the edge

a couple of tiny feint thumb creases..nothing to worry over

A litle cluster of 'x' indents on the front sleeve under a light they are visible (see pic)

The spine edge is totally unmarked with no wear. It has some tiny tip rub either end.

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition -the lightest of feathering on the tip ends - superb.

THE GATEFOLD IS PRISTINE..NO WEAR AT ALL ABSOLUTELY BLACK -Most sleeves will show ring wear but not here..the best example!

We cannot add any more than this! ITS A SUPERB EXAMPLE
